Beautifully maintained municipal park setting with man-made hills on a few holes and plenty of OB (sidewalks, lagoon, parking lots, fences, jogging trail and marked soccer field). The park can become crowded and is shared with other activities – please be courteous. There are a variety of challenging holes with blind tee shots, perched baskets on rollaway hills, and some lengthy par 3’s. The setting of the disc golf scenes in the movies “21 Jump Street” and “22 Jump Street”.
From I-10, exit 225 (Veterans Blvd.), turn left then 0.25 mile to a left on Downs Blvd, straight into the park. Take the first left.
City Park – New Orleans, LA (18 Holes)
The course is loaded with large oaks, tall pines and young cypress trees bordering open fairways. This layout was installed on the land of an old ball golf course. On or across the old cart path running the length of the course is OB. Course equipment 100% donated and maintained by New Orleans Disc Golf Club.
From I-610, exit Canal Blvd. north. At the first light, Harrison Ave, take a right. Proceed through one red light (watch speed/red light camera) and enter a traffic circle. Take the first right out of the traffic circle. Course is on the left.
Pelican Park – Mandeville, LA (18 Holes)

The Pines is long and spread out with some trees. One set of tees, but alternate pin placements on every hole. Course layout will be set up in one of two ways— either all short placements (blue) or all long placements (gold). Bathrooms near hole 1, 7 & 18. Great course to practice some big pulls.
I-12 to exit 68. Head south on LA-1088 for 2.1 miles to a left on Soult St. Stay on Soult St. for 2.1 miles to a left on US-190 E/Florida St. Continue for 1.2 miles to a left on Pelican Dr. Make a left immediately past the second set of baseball diamonds (gold complex parking) about .9 miles into the park.
Bogue Chitto – Franklinton, LA (9 Holes)
Don’t let the 9 holes fool you, it’s worth the trip. The nine holes average over 500 feet from the pro tees and par is 35 (two par 5, four par 4, three par 3). Hilly terrain with plenty of pine trees to avoid. Long pants recommended due to brush off of the fairways. Am tees play par 30 with three par 4s and six par 3s. A run through each set of tees will tax your fortitude.
From I-12, take US 190 north to Hwy. 25. Travel approximately 22 miles, then turn right onto Fisher Road, then an immediate left onto Bogue Chitto Drive (follow signs into park). Once in the park turn right, then after almost one mile turn right onto Bullock Road and follow signs to “Meeting Room”. The first tee is immediately to the right upon entering the parking lot for the meeting room.
Timberlane CC – Gretna, LA (9 Holes)
Mostly open, with a short (red) set of tees and long (yellow) set. Bar/restaurant on the premises. Baskets are Innova Sport single-chains. This is a great place to take kids and novice players. There is a small fee to play and it entitles you to the amenities of the Timberlane Country Club, like a bar!
Take US-90 W via Exit 234A toward Westbank/ Superdome/ Claiborne Ave. Stay Straight onto the Westbank Expy. Take Exit 7 LA-23/ Lafayette St (Southbound). Turn left onto Lafayette St which merges to LA-23. Approx. 1.6 miles from exit turn right on Timberlane Dr. Country Club is at the end of Timberlane Dr. on the right.
